The Echo De Pensees Sound Series was founded in September 2005 by Marcella Faustini, in conjunction with The MVM, to provide a regular venue for media art and performance in San Francisco. EDPSS is a monthly series. Recently we've begun co-hosting alternate Sundays of Godwaffle Noise Pancakes. For updates on these events click here. November 5th (The following show was postponed until January, due to a family emergency amongst Thinghol Assembly) The MVM and NAMLONCON 13 (aka MessHall) open a two week show by the Icelandic video and performance collective Thinghol Assembly, A celebration of Vigorous Manhood. This is the inaugral show of The MVM's Henry Wing. Sigtryggur Berg Sigmarsson, a founding member of Thinghol Assembly, is flying in from Iceland with a variety of videos and documentations to show. A sister show of MessHall works is opening at Olaf Eriksson Gallery in Reykjavik that night. This show is made possible in part by a grant from the Center for Icelandic Art. Details to follow. This show is made possible in part by a grant from the Center for Icelandic Art. December 14th Echo de Pensees curates a retrospective of Caroliner at PLAySPACE Gallery. Details can be found here. December 17th Echo de Pensees hosts another Sunday noise show at CCA, artists TBA. January 19th Echo de Pensees presents Caroliner in a rare live performance at the CCA Grad Center. Details can be found here.
